LEWISTON Stanley Gordon, 83, of Turner, passed away Monday, March 7, at CMMC. Messages of condolence may be sent to:A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. To Schooner Memory Care and the Androscoggin Hospice for the patient and loving care they gave her. To Marie Jordan of Turner, for checking on her daily, helping her around the house and making sure she ate nutritious meals. Her niece, Kelly Richardson, for taking her to appointments and grocery shopping and most importantly for visiting her and taking her out to get ice cream. Miles Tobey for plowing her driveway, for which she paid him with fresh home baked cookies. The family would like to thank the following people for helping her after the death of her husband and as she battled Alzheimer’s disease. She was predeceased by her parents her husband Alexander, her siblings, Sherman (Scamp), Louise, and Floyd Richardson, and her brothers-in-law Reino (Ray) Leppanen and Lloyd Bryant. her grandchildren, Jason, Katie, Ryan, and Edgar her great-grandchildren, Joe, Jack, Elise, Nolan, and Ian her siblings, Eva Leppanen, Joan Bryant-Deschenes (husband Roger Deschenes), George Richardson (wife Linda), and sister-in-law Mary Richardson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by her children, Thomas Budek (wife Trudi) of Turner, and Deborah Christian (husband Hugh) of Amherst, N.H. She was happy to be in her hometown for the latter part of her life and devoted herself to caring for her husband when he was ill and spending time with her family. Anyone who needed cheering up or a thank you often got a batch of homemade cookies. Lola was always ready to volunteer for the community and family members. She loved to read mysteries and collected “Miss Read” books she served as a Trustee of Turner Library for many years. Lola loved to garden, raising vegetables, raspberries and flowers. ![]() She loved the outdoors she worked at Leavitt orchards and told stories of driving the tractors that hauled the apples in the orchard. She loved to sew, knit, and quilt she worked in a fabric store. Lola was a homemaker but held many part-time jobs. They returned to Maine living in Lisbon Falls and finally to her hometown, Turner. LEWISTON - Debra Jane (Pulsifer) Boyd, 69, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Oct. Lola was a Navy wife and traveled from California to Mississippi with her husband during his Naval career. 11, 1964, in Auburn, she married Alexander Thomas Budek. 20, 2022, at Montello Heights in Lewiston after a period of declining health. Lola was a 1963 graduate of Leavitt Institute. Arsenault, 94, of Rumford, passed away Thursday Jan. 20, 1945, at her family’s home in Wellington, Maine, the daughter of Elmer E. AUBURN – Lola May (Richardson) Budek, 76, a former resident of Turner, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Schooner Estates Memory Care in Auburn.
